Beschreibung

"Writing Fellows" is a programme for student literacy counselling at American universities that has since been implemented at several German universities. The book provides instructions on how to introduce and implement the programme in practice and contains didactically prepared materials for teachers and Writing Fellows. Student tutors at a writing centre can thus be trained to become Writing Fellows and provide literacy teaching support in specialist seminars. They support students with individual recommendations for writing strategies, give feedback on texts and on the structure of scientific writing. At the same time, they work out expectations and assessment criteria for seminar papers, together with teachers, and thus provide a bridge function. Accompanying research is done on the effects of the programme on students' writing behaviour. In a guest article, Tobias Jenert examines the opportunities and challenges of the innovation transfer to universities.
